Star Wars Jedi Council Sets

published on June 15, 2014

In this article we are going to take a closer look at Hasbro's Star Wars Jedi Council sets which were released between 2003 and 2004. We are going to take a look at the included content, we'll discuss the figures and we will give you recommendations what figures will be a better fit. In addition we will list what Jedi Council members appeared in the Jedi Council sequences in each of the prequel movies, so that you can re-create a display with the appropriate figures in it.

2003 Jedi Council Sets

In 2003 during the Star Wars SAGA series, Hasbro released two different Jedi Council sets for $19.99 each. The sets included three Star Wars figures, a Jedi Council floor and two Jedi Council chairs for the figures to sit on. The packaging contained a Coruscant cardboard backdrop which could be cut out and be placed into a slot located in the back of the floor. Unfortunately, the backdrop was identical for every Jedi Council 3-pack which looked awkward when a full set was assembled.

Jedi Council Sets 1 and 2

Both 2003 Jedi Council sets were based on The Phantom Menace and contained figures of Mace Windu, Even Piell, Oppo Rancisis, Yarael Poof, Depa Billaba and Yaddle.

Besides the included figures, set #1 was slightly different from the second set, because it included a small hologram of an unidentified Jedi Knight which was permanently attached via a stand to the Jedi Council floor. Each of these sets came with two chairs and a base.

2004 Jedi Council Sets

In 2004 Hasbro continued the Jedi Council Screen Scene sets with four additional 3-packs, which completed the entire Jedi Council. Three out of the four sets included figures from The Phantom Menace, but set #4 included figures based on Attack Of The Clones.

Each of these sets came with two chairs and two floor pieces (a base and an additional middle floor piece).

The included figures were Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn, Ki-Adi Mundi, Plo Koon, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Eeth Koth, Adi Gallia, Anakin Skywalker, Saesee Tiin, Stass Allie, Agen Kolar and Shaak Ti.

The Jedi Council Fully Assembled

When all six Jedi Council sets were placed together it looked like this:

Update and helpful comments by "TR" from our previous comments system:

I dont want to sound too critical, im greatful that someone took the time to do this work to help those wanting a complete and perfect council diorama. i really hope that more updates of members reach us soon and i have been campaigning wherever i can to push hasbro into updating depa billaba and adi gallia among others.

Minor tweaks needed here ( im the resident jedi council expert ) in the ep1 jedi council list you should have eeth koth instead of agen kolar.

In the ep3 list you should remove pablo jill as he is not- and never was a council member. what should be done instead is you should say you can use the pablo jill figure for coleman kcaj, whose figure has not been made but both characters look alike. on the same list, "empty chair" is supposed to be stass allie- no super articulated soft goods tunic figure of her exists so that needs to be specified. you can approach from another angle and say that the adi gallia repaint from the council set can be used, as she was intended to be stass allie. on the same list yet again, i would even go so far as to say that the 2010 tvc rots anakin skywalker should be used instead of evolutions- but thats just my personal preference.
