Aayla Secura was released in February 2010 in the basic Clone Wars figure assortment. The Jedi master was given more screen time in the first season of the Clone Wars TV show, and could be seen in the episodes Jedi Crash and Defenders Of Peace.
The figure is super articulated with 14 joints. The only swivel joints are in the wrists, the waist and hips, all other joints are ball-jointed. Aayla is a very petite figure, and even though she has adjustable ankles and knees, it's better to place her on a stand for additional balance support. Hasbro included a blue lightsaber, a jet-pack, goggles, shoulder armor and a breathing device with the figure. The lightsaber is a great fit for both of Aayla's hands. In order to attach the shoulder armor, you'll have to pop the head off the figure and put the armor over the shoulders. The armor has two holes, one in the front where the breathing device needs to be plugged in, and one in the back where the jet-pack attaches. The goggles are placed over the eyes and attach on both of the ears. All accessories are a good fit and stay firmly attached.
The paint application is cleanly applied, especially around the eyes and on Aayla's Twi'lek horns. However, the Jedi Master's eyes appear to be yellow in the TV Show, but the figure has red eyes. The sculpt itself is outstanding, with plenty of details on the clothes and a spot on face, which resembles Aayla Secura's likeness as close as it gets. All in all, this animated style Aayla Secura figure can easily be recommended and will make a great addition to your Jedi army!
