This Anakin Skywalker figure was released during The Clone Wars Collection in Fall of 2009. Anakin is based on his appearance in the Clone Wars episode "Cargo Of Doom" from the second season.
The figure is super articulated with 14 joints, including ball-joints in both shoulders, both elbows, the waist, both knees and ankles. The only swivel joints are in both under arms. Hasbro included 3 accessories with this figure, a blue lightsaber, a removable jet pack with a projectile, and a helmet. The lightsaber fits well into both of Anakin's hands. The helmet is a good fit and covers the entire head nicely. The jet pack plugs into a hole on the back of the figure and sits overall a little bit loose. A projectile can be placed into the jet-pack, which shoots out and launches once it's pressed down a little bit. It's unknown why Hasbro decided to include a jet pack with this Anakin figure because Anakin was never seen wearing one in the clone wars episode. The belt has a little hole on the left side of the figure where a lightsaber hilt can be plugged in and hung from it, but unfortunately Hasbro didn't include a non-ignited lightsaber with the figure.
The paint application is well applied, giving Anakin an overall darker look with a dark blue on the jedi tunic, and a bordeaux color on the sleeves and pants. This time, Hasbro paid attention to details, making Anakin's right glove black, while the left one is light brown, just the way it was seen in the clone wars episode. Even though there is no weathering on Anakin's clothes, the darker colors give the figure a more "used" look automatically. The sculpt is nicely done with the correct details on the belt, including the correct quantity of pouches and food capsules. All in all, this is a super articulated and nicely sculpted Anakin Skywalker action figure, which is different enough from previous versions and an attractive alternative to other available Anakin Skywalker figures.
