Exar Kun was released in the last wave of comic 2-packs during The Legacy Collection in Spring of 2010. The second figure in the set was Ulic Qel-Droma. Exar Kun is based on the appearances in the Dark Horse comic book series Tales Of The Jedi, Dark Lords Of The Sith from late 1994.
Just like Ulic Qel-Droma, Exar Kun is super articulated with 14 joints, including ball-joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, knees and ankles. The wrists and the waist are swivel jointed. Hasbro included 4 accessories with the figure, 2 blue lightsabers, shoulder armor, and a soft-goods robe. The lightsabers fit very well into both of the figure's hands and stays firmly attached. The shoulder armor plugs into a hole in the back of the figure and through a hole in the robe.
The paint job on Exar Kun is well done, with nice subtle weathering on the armor pieces. The figure's sculpt turned out great, including the face sculpt with some scars on the right cheek and the forehead tattoo. Overall, this Exar Kun figure is well done and makes a great companion display piece next to Ulic Qel-Droma.
