This Galactic Marine figure was released in an exclusive Toys'R'Us 6-pack in the summer of 2009. The entire set was a re-release from The Anniversary Collection's exclusive Previews set. The Galactic Marine could be seen in the Battlefront II video game which was released across multiple gaming platforms. The character was also featured very briefly in Revenge Of The Sith during the Order 66 execution fighting side by side with Jedi Master Ki-Adi Mundi.
The figure has 14 joints, including a ball-jointed neck, ball-jointed shoulders, ball-jointed elbows, swivel wrists, swivel waist, 2 movable legs, 2 ball-jointed knees and 2 ball-jointed ankles. The clone stands securely on its own without the need for a stand. Hasbro included four accessories, a gatling-gun type laser blaster, a removable helmet, a removable backpack, and a removable shoulder armor. The helmet is a good fit and covers the entire head well. The machine gun fits well into either of the clone's hands, but due to the size of it, the figure will loose its balance. If you decide to pose the Galactic Marine with the gun you will need a stand.
The paint job is pretty cool with lots of dirt and smudges on the clone and it makes this release much different from previously released Galactic Marine figures. All in all it's a cool, super articulated clone trooper, and since Galactic Marines appeared in Revenge Of The Sith as well, it'll appeal to collectors who are into the movie figures, and collectors who are into the expanded universe.
