This version of General Grievous was released in a Walmart exclusive 3-pack in 2005, together with Commander Cody and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
General Grievous, in this specific color tone can be seen in the later chapters of the Tartakovsky Clone Wars cartoon series.
The figure is a re-release, but repaint of the individually carded General Grievous figure.
You'll find six joints in the figure, including a ball-jointed neck, two swivel arms, two swivel elbows and a swivel waist. Everything below the waist is static and a big block of plastic. Because of that, General Grievous stands very safely by himself without support from a stand. The two weapons included were a blue and a green lightsaber, and both of them fit very well into either hand. The cape and the two lightsabers hanging from the belt are part of the figure and can't be removed.
The new and different looking paint application compared to the previous released General Grievous
is very well done and captures the likeness of Grievous from the later chapters of the series
very well. It also doesn't feel quite as simple anymore like on the previous release. The figure's size is still
impressive, especially the wing span, as it is almost about three times as wide as any of the other figures released
in the "Tartakovsky" series. All in all, this version of General Grievous is quite unique, and even though it shares the same sculpt
with the previous Grievous figure, it feels like a new figure.
