This Han Solo action figure was released in Fall of 1998 as a Walmart exclusive, packed-in together with a CD-ROM and a Millennium Falcon keyboard attachment for the PC. The figure is based on Han Solo's appearance in A New Hope, when he wore his headset in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon.
The figure is a slightly retooled version of the previously released Gunner Station Han Solo, which was available earlier in the same year. The difference is that the figure has now swivel joints in both knees. Altogether, Han Solo has a total of
7 swivel joints, which are in the neck, arms, legs, and both knees. Note that the waist is not articulated. Back then, having a Star Wars figure with knee joints was pretty cool, especially because it meant that he could actually sit. The face sculpt, just like the He-Man looking appearance, feels very outdated compared with
modern figures. There were no accessories included with Solo, and the headset is molded into the head and can't be removed.
All in all, this CD ROM Han Solo figure is very outdated and there are many other, better Han Solo figures on the market today.
