This animated style Jabba The Hutt figure was released in a battlepack in April 2009 together with a TC-70 figure. Jabba The Hutt was featured in the Clone Wars animated movie, with the plot focusing
on his lost son Rotta The Hutt.
There have been quite a few Jabba The Hutt figures released over the years, but this is the first animated style Jabba. The figure has a total of 8 joints, which is quite an achievement, considering that
the character doesn't have any legs, knees or ankles. You can turn the head sideways, move both arms on the shoulders, elbows and wrists. On top of that, when you move any of the arms down slowly, Jabba's mouth will move.
Unfortunately, Hasbro didn't include a dais with the figure, but they included Jabba's signature hooka pipe with a bowl and the throne railing. The pipe fits very well into both of Jabba's hands, and the railing with the bowl
has the correct height to fit just nicely next to the figure.
The paint application is well applied with different shades of green, and a more "roughed up" look towards the bottom of the figure. There are plenty
of subtle details in Jabba's face which all in all capture the Hutt's aesthetics very well. Overall, this Jabba The Hutt figure should please fans of the animated Clone Wars TV show, not only has it more joints than any other
previously released Jabba figure, but it also looks very closely to what was seen in the Clone Wars movie.
