This R2-B1 action figure was released in
2012 in the Discover The Force toy line.
It was exclusively available at Walmart.
Hasbro gave the figure five joints and included
one accessory (power harness).
Here is what we noticed when we took a closer look at the Droid:
- R2-B1 was available in the Royal Starship Droids battle pack together with three other droids: R2-D2, R2-N3 and R2-R9
- R2-B1's dome is removable and reveals some mechanics inside the droid's head
- Pictured here is the 2nd and corrected version, which featured a silver painted dome interior (for a comparison picture, please visit the R2-B1 comparison page please)
- There is no clicking sound when the dome is rotated
- The droid has no hidden gadgets or panels built in
- The middle leg can be removed
- All three legs have rolls in them
- R2-B1 fits well onto the included Power Harness
The articulation details are as follows: swivel dome, 2 swivel legs, 2 swivel ankles

Astromech droids repair the Naboo Royal Starship. The shield generator and hyperdrive are damaged while escaping the Trade Federation's blockade of Naboo. The droids fix the generator, but the hyperdrive is too badly damaged. The ship is forced to land on the remote world of Tatooine to find a replacement part.
