Compare this ARC Trooper figure
This animated-style and generic ARC Trooper was released in a battlepack during The Clone Wars collection in September 2010. The battlepack was titled
"ARC Troopers", and contained this ARC Trooper with blue markings, an ARC Trooper with red markings,
Captain Rex and an ARC Trooper Commander figure. A very similar and nameless (as of this review) blue ARC Trooper could be seen in the third season of
the Clone Wars, in the episodes "Clone Cadets" and "ARC Troopers".
Just like the red Arc Trooper, the clone trooper has 14 joints, including ball-joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, waist, knees and ankles! The only swivel joints are found in both wrists. The figures stands very nicely on its own, even with the backpack attached and both arms pointed forward. The helmet is not removable, but the range-finder on it can be moved up and down. The blue shoulder pauldron can be removed, but the kama around the waist is permanently attached. Hasbro also included two blasters with the ARC Trooper, which are a loose fit for either hand. However, they both fit very well into the holsters, which are hidden on both sides of the hip.
The paint application on the ARC Trooper is cleanly applied and comes quite close to the trooper seen in the opening episodes of season 3 of the Clone Wars. The sculpt with its 14 joints looks fantastic, and allows for enough freedom to pose the figure in various different battle positions. Overall, this nameless and generic blue ARC Trooper is cool, and a nice addition to any Clone Wars collection!
Advanced Recon Commando (ARC) troopers are highly skilled clone troopers who take on some of the toughest challenges faced by the Republic army. As the most elite members of the clone army, ARC troopers are deployed on highly dangerous missions that require independent thinking.
During one mission, ARC troopers team up with Captain Rex's battalion to attack an army of battle droids that have taken control of a strategic city.
ARC Troopers: The Advanced Recon Commandos are given specialized training that encourages independent thinking and unconventional approaches to problems.
