This animated-style and generic ARC Trooper was released in a battlepack during The Clone Wars collection in September 2010. The battlepack was titled
"ARC Troopers", and contained this ARC Trooper with red markings, an ARC Trooper with blue markings,
Captain Rex and an ARC Trooper Commander figure. The nameless red ARC Trooper could be seen in the third season of
the Clone Wars, in the episode "ARC Troopers". And even though the figure looks very closely to Commander Colt who was dominantly featured, it looks different enough to clearly not be Commander Colt.
Just like the blue Arc Trooper, the clone trooper has 14 joints, including ball-joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, waist, knees and ankles! The only swivel joints are found in both wrists. The figures stands very nicely on its own, even with the backpack attached and both arms pointed forward. The helmet is not removable, but the range-finder on it can be moved up and down. The red shoulder pauldron can be removed and is different from the one which was included with the blue ARC Trooper
(it has an extra silver chest plate). The ARC Trooper's kama around the waist is permanently attached and can't be removed. Hasbro also included two blasters with the ARC Trooper, which are a loose fit for either hand. However, they both fit very well into the holsters, which are hidden on both sides of the hip.
The paint application on the red ARC Trooper is cleanly applied, especially the silver on the shins and boots looks cool and makes this ARC Trooper stand out.
The sculpt with 14 points of articulation looks great and hides all of the joints very well. Overall, this nameless and generic red ARC Trooper is nice and just like the blue ARC Trooper, a great addition to any Clone Wars collection!
