This 2-1B action figure was released in
2011 in The Vintage Collection.
It was exclusively available at Target.
Hasbro gave the figure six joints and included
one accessory (medical diagnostic computer).
Here is what we noticed when we took a closer look at the Droid:
- Medical Droid 2-1B was available in a 3-pack titled "Rebel Set" as a Target exclusive in 2011
- The other two figures in this set were the Hoth Rebel Trooper and Princess Leia Hoth
- The droid is a slight re-paint of the 1997 POTF2 2-1B figure
- Aesthetically, the figure looks still quite nice, but the articulation is entirely outdated for a 2011 figure
- The medical device fits OK into both of the figure's hands
- There are no balancing problems
- The metallic blue paint application looks fantastic
- It's pretty bold of Hasbro to re-release an almost 14/15 year old figure in 2011 with basically no changes made to it
The articulation details are as follows: swivel neck, 2 swivel arms, swivel waist, 2 swivel legs
