This ARC Trooper Alpha figure was released during The Legacy Collection in a Walmart exclusive Evolution 3-pack in early September 2009. The actual character was never seen in any of the feature length movies, but had a quite a few appearances in the very first Clone Wars animated show in 2003, various comic books and novels.
The figure has a total of 14 joints, which gives you enough freedom to position it in what ever position you want it to be in. The helmet and the shoulder armor are removable and both of them fit well on the figure. The rangefinder on the helmet is not movable and can't be detached. An interesting detail is the removable panel on the clone trooper's right arm, which is permanently attached to the shoulder armor. So, if you want to remove it, you'll also have to remove the shoulder armor along with it.
The paint application is well applied with nice red details all over the clone's armor, and there are no battle markings or scratches on the figure. The ARC trooper stands securely by himself and won't require additional support from a stand. The blaster rifle can be held tightly by both of the clone's hands and won't fall out when you reposition the figure.
Again, this ARC Trooper is another solid Clone Trooper figure. The armor design itself looks great, and combined with 14 joints, a nice head sculpt and a cool looing blaster rifle, it's really hard to not like this figure.
Side note: The pictures on the Evolution 3-pack packaging of ARC Trooper Alpha were accidentally mirrored by Hasbro and showed the clone trooper with the range finder on the left side of the helmet instead of the right.
