Jacen Solo was released individually carded in the last wave of The Legacy Collection in May 2010. At first, the figure was a Toys'R'Us exclusive, but was later sold through various online outlets. Jacen Solo was never seen in any of the movies, but was featured in various novels and comic book stories.
The figure is super articulated with 14 joints, including ball-joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, the waist, knees and ankles. The wrists and legs are swivel jointed. Jacen Solo has no balancing issues, and even stands securely when displayed holding the lightsaber and the serpent above the head. The serpent comes in 3 pieces, one tail piece can be wrapped around the forearm, the bigger piece is placed over the head and covers the chest and neck areas, and one longer, staff-like piece has the serpent's head on one end. All 3 pieces work
well together and can easily be put on or taken off the figure.
The paint job app on Jacen Solo is pretty basic, with a dark brown on the entire outfit, and an even darker brown on the boots and forearms. The figure's mold is well done and the entire outfit is reminiscent of Luke Skywalker's Bespin outfit. All in all, this super articulated Jacen Solo figure is great, and since it's the only version of him in the Star Wars action figure line as of this review, you might want to consider adding it to your collection.
