Luke Skywalker as Jedi Knight was released individually carded in November 2010 as part of The Vintage Collection. Luke can be seen wearing the Jedi Knight outfit in The Return Of The Jedi.
To take it away up-front, this version of Luke in Jedi Outfit is the best representation of this character as of 2010, and a significant improvement over last year's TLC Jedi Luke. This version of Luke is super articulated, with ball-joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists(!), the hip, knees and ankles. The only swivel joint in the figure is located in the waist. Skywalker stands very nicely on his own without the help from a stand. Hasbro included three accessories with the figure, an ignited green lightsaber, a lightsaber hilt, and handcuffs. Both lightsabers fit wonderfully into each of the Jedi's hands and the handcuffs fit around the figure's wrists pretty well. Unfortunately, they still leave a little gap, but this is not too big of a deal anymore. Unfortunately, Hasbro didn't include Luke's Jedi robe with the figure, which is disappointing.
The paint application on Jedi Luke is well applied, but why did Hasbro give Luke a black glove when he never wore one until after he left Tatooine? Despite that though, the figure exceeds expectations with a fantastic head sculpt, which finally matches Mark Hamill's likeness spot on. Not only is the head sculpt amazing, but the super articulated sculpt hides the figure's joints very well. Luke's upper body looks brilliant, the He-Man "V-shape" is now gone, and the figure looks much more realistic. Hasbro also re-worked the belt, which now features details such as the lightsaber ring, a re-worked belt buckle and a black pouch on the right side. The vintage-style packaging is the icing on the cake. Unfortunately, Hasbro missed the opportunity to include a Jedi cloak with the figure, but besides that, it's a truly outstanding figure, which needs to be part of any serious Star Wars Collection, no matter how many Jedi Lukes there are in the collection already.
