Ewok Wicket was released individually carded in November 2010 as part of The Vintage Collection. Besides Wicket's appearance in The Return Of The Jedi, he was also featured in the 80ties "Ewoks" TV show cartoon. In addition to the cartoon, Wicket could also be seen in two full feature length, live-action TV shows (The Ewok Adventure - 1984" and "Battle For Endor - 1985").
The small figure has a total of 9 joints, with ball-joints in the neck, shoulders, both legs and ankles. There are swivel joints in the wrists. The elbows, the waist and knees are not articulated, probbably due to the small size of the figure. Wicket stands beautifully by himself and he won't need addition support from a stand. Hasbro included a removable hood, Wicket's spear and a removable pouch with the figure. In addition to the regular movie-seen hood, Hasbro included a second hood, which Wicket wore in the second season of the Ewoks cartoon. Both hoods are a very tight and good fit. The included spear fits perfectly into both of the Ewok's hands, and the pouch hangs down nicely on the side without limiting the arm movement too much.
The paint application on Wicket is well done. The dark brown fur was given some subtle "Endor-dirt" weathering, which seems to be a little stronger down by the legs than on the upper body (subtle, but nice!). The figure itself is sculpted nicely and captures Wicket's likeness very well. Elbow joints would have been nice, so that Wicket could have been displayed throwing a spear or in a more action oriented pose, but it's not necessary. Aesthetically it works better to have only two joints (shoulder, wrist) on one side of the arm than adding a third one in such a small space. All in all, this version of Wicket is very well done and a wonderful upgrade to the POTF2 version. The addition of the 80ties cartoon-style hood is a nice surprise and shows collectors that Hasbro does care, and appreciates older fans. If you
haven't added this version of Wicket to your collection yet, you should do so, as it is the best available action figures of this little Ewok as of 2010!
