This Stormtrooper was released individually carded during the
Vintage
Collection in February 2011. Stormtroopers can be seen in all three
original trilogy movies.
The figure is ultra articulated with 12 ball-joints and 2 swivel joints (wrists). The stance is easily adjustable, thanks to ball-joints in the hip, knees and ankles. There were two weapons included with the
Stormtrooper, a basic imperial blaster, and a longer blaster rifle as seen in the original Star Wars.
Both weapons are a good fit for the hands, and the smaller imperial blaster can even be stowed away in the holster. Unfortunately, the Stormtrooper helmet is too big and sits very, very loosely on top of the head.
The paint job on the Stormtrooper is quite simple, but with only white and black with
grayish/blue colors, there isn't much that Hasbro could do differently. The glossy appearance looks
overall pretty good. The only
negative on the figure is the helmet, which is just too big and doesn't look as good as it should. The ball-jointed
hip is a welcome addition, but the hip joints feel almost a bit too big. All in all, it's a decent
Stormtrooper figure, but we still prefer the 2004, Original Trilogy Vintage Stormtrooper over this version.
