This General Lando Calrissian was released individually carded during the
Vintage
Collection in March 2011. Lando Calrissian can be seen wearing the General outfit in the second half of
Return Of The Jedi.
Lando has 14 joints, including ball-joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, both legs, knees and ankles. The only swivel joints
are located in the wrists and the waist. The figure stands a little shaky, but thanks to ball-joints in the hip,
the stance can be widened, which helps to balance it out better. Hasbro included Lando's blaster, a blue cape and a removable holster with the figure. The blaster
fits only very loosely into both hands, but it fits well into the holster. The cape is made out of very fine material and can easily be put over the figure's head. Unfortunately, the front of the cape, where both
sides are connected, looks too big and is just ugly. This doesn't match the cape Lando wore in the movie not even closely. The cape is also a little bit too long. The holster can be put over the figure's head, where
it hangs down without being in the way.
The paint application on Lando Calrissian is both, well done and disappointing at the same time. The color tones on the outfit are fantastic, but the cape should have had a slightly lighter blue, matching the pants better.
The shirt's collar is painted inaccurately and doesn't match the outer shirt, nor does it match the shirt underneath. Lando's wrist communicator is also missing yellow and red buttons (a detail which we've seen painted on
other figures over time). The figure is sculpted quite well, with some "realistic" looking wrinkles on the
front and back of the shirt and a very good looking head sculpt, which makes for an overall aesthetically very nice
looking figure. Overall, this General Lando Calrissian is a great upgrade from
previous released "Lando Generals", but it's not as good as it could have been.
