R2-D2 Action Figure

Hasbro's creativity and new takes on previously released figures never stops. This R2-D2 action figure is based on R2's appearance in Return Of The Jedi, when he is hit by a Stormtrooper's laster blast in front of the Endor bunker. The figure is a repaint of the R2-D2 released during the Vintage Original Trilogy, but this time the droid has a dirtier paint application and the front panel is glued-on and not removable. The dome still makes the well known clicking sound when being turned, and the astromech's antenna moves in and out. All 3 legs have wheels, and the middle leg is removable so that R2-D2 can stand on two legs. The coolest part though, and the part that makes this R2-D2 release stand out from other releases is the removable lightning bolt accessory. The accessory has R2's tools molded in, so when attached to the droid, it looks like as if all of his front panels have opened. Overall, this is a nice figure, which when the lightning bolt accessory is attached, is well worth getting!
