At the beginning it took a while for the line to be successful, but come Christmas 2008, the shelves were empty, and main characters like General Grievous, Yoda and Ashoka were hard to come by. TCW toy line is aimed at children, and because of this you will find bigger weapons with action features included with the figures. The sculpts of the figures represent the animated versions of the characters as seen in the TV show.
Hasbro rebooted this toy line in August 2010 with a new packaging style and plenty new Clone Wars figures.
